What the tape is
A strip that carries a concentrated, water-free balm on the skin-facing side. It's designed to stay in place for a full night's sleep and to lift off cleanly in the morning.
The balm is the product. The strip's job is to hold it flat against a line and stop it rubbing off on your pillow — which is the difference between an active sitting on your skin for eight hours and a cream that's gone in twenty minutes.
The actives
Copper Tripeptide-1. A short chain of three amino acids bound to copper — one of the most studied peptides in skincare, and the reason this is a peptide product rather than a moisturiser. It's used to support the skin's own repair signalling, for a firmer, smoother-looking surface over weeks of regular use. It's a premium-tier ingredient; most tapes at this price don't carry it.
Caffeine. Constricts the small blood vessels just under the surface, which is why the eye pieces make the most visible overnight difference. It reduces the look of puffiness and the shadow that comes with it. This is the ingredient you'll notice first, on the first morning.
Niacinamide (vitamin B3). One of the best-evidenced ingredients in all of skincare. It supports the skin barrier, evens out tone, and softens the look of enlarged pores. It's the quiet one — it does its work over weeks, and it does it reliably.
The base — and why it matters more than it sounds
The three ingredients below aren't filler. They're the mechanism.
Petrolatum. The most effective occlusive known to dermatology: it cuts water loss through the skin by roughly 99%. Sealed under a strip overnight, it holds your own moisture in the top layers instead of letting it evaporate into the room. That's why skin looks plumper and lines look softer by morning. This effect is immediate and it's real — you'll see it on night one.
Mineral Oil. Highly purified and completely non-reactive. It carries the actives, spreads them evenly across the strip, and has one of the lowest allergy rates of any cosmetic ingredient. It also doesn't oxidise, which is why this product doesn't go rancid.
Beeswax. Gives the balm its structure so it stays where it's put instead of migrating across your face. It's also a mild film-former in its own right, adding to the seal.
No preservatives
There's no water in this formula. Preservatives exist to stop bacteria growing in water — with none present, none are needed. It's one of the few genuine advantages an oil-based product has over the water-based gel patches, and it's why there's no phenoxyethanol, no parabens and no alcohol on this list.

Who it's for
All skin types. If your skin is sensitive or reactive, patch-test one piece on your jawline for two hours before wearing a full set overnight.
Who should check first
- If you're prone to breakouts. Petrolatum and mineral oil are heavy occlusives. They don't clog pores on their own, but sealing anything against congested skin overnight can bring spots to the surface. Start with two nights a week on the forehead only and see how your skin answers.
- If you have a beeswax allergy — or you avoid animal-derived ingredients. This product contains beeswax and is not vegan. We'd rather tell you here than have you find out from the box.
- If you're using prescription retinoids, or you've had a recent peel, laser or microneedling, wait until your skin has fully recovered. Occlusion increases the potency of whatever is already on your skin.
- If you're pregnant or breastfeeding and unsure, ask your doctor — not because we know of a problem, but because it's your call to make with the full list in hand.
What it isn't
It isn't a medical device or a medicine. It doesn't change the structure of your skin. It seals moisture in and holds three actives against a line while you sleep, so that line looks softer while you wear it and for a while afterward. The peptide works over weeks. The seal works overnight. We'll say that anywhere you ask, because a product that has to overclaim to sell is a product that doesn't work.
